Kealia Beach is a nice, 1/2 mile long beach that is used mostly by locals for surfing and bodyboarding. Swimming here is usually not very good. This is a great spot to watch the sun rise, or to look for whales during winter months.

The Northern area of Kealia Beach was once used to as a landing spot (known as Kealia Landing) to deliver supplies to the island plantations. There was a jetty built to facilitate this industry. It has since fallen into disrepair, but the remains can still be seen here. This area offers some degree of protection from the full power of the waves, making it easier for young and/or inexperienced swimmers.
