Glass Beach is named because it has millions of glass particles mixed in the sand. It may not be the best place to swim, and it's sure NOT the A-Typical tropical beach, nut it's still a beach in Hawaii!

The glass found at Glass Beach comes from glass debris that was dumped in the area years ago. After several decades, what comes ashore is smoothed out glass of many different colors.

Very close to Glass Beach are the Port Allen fuel storage tanks that reminds you that even in paradise, some concessions must be made for modern life.
